Visiting the website
Hosting. This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to Vercel's servers: your IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and device type. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure and stable. Vercel keeps this data in server logs for a limited time, as set by its own retention rules.
Visit statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit which pages. It does not use cookies. Instead of identifying you, it creates a temporary code from your request, which is discarded after 24 hours. We only see aggregated numbers, such as page views, referring websites, countries and device types. We cannot identify you from them.
Fonts. The fonts on this website are delivered from our own hosting. Your browser does not contact Google or any other font service to load them.
Cookies and browser storage. Our website itself does not set cookies and does not store information in your browser to recognise you. Embedded YouTube videos are the exception, see Videos below.
Videos
Some Insights articles include a YouTube video. These videos are embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The video player loads as soon as you open such an article, so your browser connects to YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC, and transmits at least your IP address and the page you are on, even if you do not play the video. When you play the video, YouTube may store information in your browser and process further data.
YouTube processes this data as an independent controller, not on our behalf, under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Contacting us
If you use our contact form, we process your name, your email address, your company (optional) and your message. We use this data only to answer your enquiry and, if it leads to a project, to prepare and carry out that project.
Your enquiry is sent to us as an email through Resend (Resend Inc., USA), an email delivery service. Resend delivers the email to our mailboxes, which are hosted by our email provider. The form does not store your enquiry in a database on our website, and we do not add you to any mailing list because you contacted us.
To protect the form from abuse, our server briefly keeps your IP address in its working memory to limit repeated submissions (about 10 minutes per address). It is never written to a file or database.
Your enquiry is read and answered only by people at Agentic. We do not use AI tools to read, summarise or answer enquiries.
If you email us directly, we process the same kind of data in the same way.
Briefs (newsletter)
If you sign up for our briefs, we store your email address and the page where you signed up (for example the homepage or an article). We use it only to send you our briefs about AI agents and related topics. Your email address is stored with our email service provider Resend (Resend Inc., USA).
Your sign-up takes effect as soon as you submit the form. We do not send a confirmation email.
You can unsubscribe at any time by writing to us. We then stop sending you briefs. If you also want your email address deleted, tell us and we will delete it.
To protect the sign-up form from abuse, our server briefly keeps your IP address in its working memory to limit repeated sign-ups. It is never written to a file or database.
Why we may process your data (legal basis under the GDPR)
Swiss law does not require a legal basis for each processing. If the GDPR applies to you, we rely on:
- Our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for hosting, security, abuse protection and anonymous visit statistics, and for showing embedded videos;
- Steps before a contract or a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) when your enquiry concerns a possible project, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for the briefs. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who receives your data
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the following service providers, who process it on our behalf and under our instructions:
| Provider | What for | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel Inc. | Hosting, server logs, visit statistics | USA, with servers worldwide |
| Resend Inc. | Delivery of contact enquiries, storage of sign-ups for our briefs | USA |
| Our email provider | Receiving and storing the emails you send us, including contact enquiries | May be outside Switzerland, including the USA |
Embedded YouTube videos are different: Google (YouTube) is not our service provider and processes data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy (see Videos).
We may also disclose data if the law or an authority requires it, or to protect our rights.
Data abroad
Some of these providers are in the USA. Vercel is certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which Switzerland and the EU recognise as providing adequate protection. For transfers from Switzerland, Resend relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission, adapted for Swiss law, in its data processing agreement. Where no such certification applies to a provider, we rely on these Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
- Server logs: for a limited time, as set by our hosting provider.
- Visit statistics: the temporary visitor code is discarded after 24 hours; we keep only aggregated numbers.
- Abuse protection: IP address held briefly in the server's working memory only, never saved.
- Contact enquiries: as long as needed to handle your enquiry. If it does not lead to business with us, we delete it after 12 months at the latest. If it does, we keep the correspondence as long as the law requires, usually 10 years.
- Briefs: while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we no longer use your address for briefs and delete it on request.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption for the whole website and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep risks low.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask whether we process your data and get a copy of it (access);
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted, or object to its processing;
- receive data you gave us in a common electronic format (data portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future.
Under the GDPR you can also ask us to restrict processing. Legal limits apply, for example where we must keep data by law.
To use your rights, write to us at the address above. We may ask you to prove your identity.
If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), www.edoeb.admin.ch. If you live in the EU or EEA, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
Changes
We may update this policy when our website or services change. The current version is always published on this page.
